Edict Systems Announces New Capabilities to Connect, Integrate,
Manage, and Expand the use of e-Business within Trading Communities
Dayton, OH - March 6, 2003 - Edict Systems, Inc., a wholly
owned and sole operating subsidiary of Advant-e Corporation
(OTC Bulletin Board: AVEE
- News)
and a leading provider of Business-to-Business Trading Community
solutions, today announced it has augmented its service offerings
with new capabilities to provide enhanced e-Business Connectivity,
Integration and Professional Services.
The expanded capabilities allow Edict Systems to market a
full range of e-Business solutions that connect, integrate,
manage, and expand the use of e-Business within and between
enterprises. The new capabilities include:
- Connectivity - Edict Systems
customers now have the ability to purchase certified Peer-to-Peer
Internet Communications software (EDI-INT AS2) directly
from Edict Systems to support Internet EDI mandates by leading
retailers and other large buying organizations, and with
the same software, connect to EnterpriseEC® for connections
to other trading partners who do not yet support Peer-to-Peer
connectivity.
- Integration - In addition
to existing EnterpriseEC® Hosted Data Translation capabilities,
Edict Systems can now provide its customers with e-Business
Integration software and services to integrate e-Business
transactions directly into business applications to avoid
manual re-keying of data and to maximize the benefit of
e-Business relationships.
- Professional Services -
Edict Systems has further expanded its Professional Services
resources to support the development, integration, and implementation
of business-to-business EDI, EAI, and XML solutions that
improve our clients' productivity, competitiveness, and
stakeholder value. Our Professional Services include: Software
installation, Data Mapping, Software and Platform migrations,
EDI Translator upgrades, Version upgrades, Middleware integration,
Training, Project strategy and planning.
As part of the IBM Business Partnership announced February
4, 2003, EnterpriseEC®, the company's Hosted Trading Community
Management platform, has been enhanced to include access to
IBM Business Exchange Services for interconnectivity to other
e-Business trading communities. IBM's Business Exchange Services
have been added as both a stand-alone service as well as an
extension of EnterpriseEC to allow our customers to connect
to other e-Business networks, including Value-Added Networks
(VANs) which are used for conducting Electronic Data Interchange
(EDI).
EnterpriseEC® is an Electronic Trading Network (ETN)
that provides customers with a web-based interface to track
and manage trading communities and transactions. Documents
can be searched by technical information or by entering pertinent
business information such as purchase order or invoice numbers.
Individual transactions can be automatically mapped into human-readable
form using a dynamic XML conversion feature to give non-technical
personnel access to critical business documents in order to
extend the value of EnterpriseEC® within an organization.
In addition to providing the added document management features
and functionality not currently available with other ETNs
or VANs, EnterpriseEC® uses the Internet to reduce the
cost of sending and receiving e-Business transactions.
Commenting on the expansion of Edict Systems capabilities,
Kevin Johnson, Vice President of Business Development stated:
"Our new capabilities, combined with our existing industry-leading
web-EDI and Trading Community Management solutions, position
Edict Systems to provide end-to-end solutions for our customers
and their trading partners regardless of their size, technical
capabilities, or internal resources."
"As we expand our relationships with strategic customers,
they look to us for a more comprehensive portfolio of solutions
to address connectivity standards, integration, and improved
productivity in managing the ever growing number of e-Business
enabled transactions and trading partners," continued
Mr. Johnson. "We are looking forward to working with
our customers to increase the value of their e-Business capabilities,
and contributing to their success."
